Ready to unleash your inner beast? Whether you're aiming to front a metal band, bring raw emotion to the stage, or simply explore the power of your voice, Screaming 101 is your gateway to mastering the art of vocal distortion. This 6-week, beginner-friendly class covers the foundations of healthy screaming techniques, including breath support, different ranges of screaming, and safe warm-up/cool-down routines. You’ll learn how to project with power without wrecking your voice, and gain confidence in crafting your own unique scream. No prior vocal experience necessary—just a willingness to get loud! About the Instructor: Brooke Hampton started screaming in her parents' house at 14, trying to emulate the raw power of her favorite female-fronted hardcore bands. Inspired by their boldness in a male-dominated scene, she made it her mission to create space for other femme voices in heavy music. What began as a cover project at Emo Night at Barbarella quickly evolved into Slow Pulse — her original band born out of grief, grit, and the need for authentic expression following the loss of her mom to cancer. Through songwriting, Brooke found healing and connection, and Slow Pulse has since toured the U.S. and played festivals nationwide. Her greatest joy? Seeing other women show up, scream loud, and take up space in the scene she loves so fiercely. Payment: Payment of $345 is due in full on the day you sign up. Payment is accepted via credit card, debit card, Affirm, or PayPal. If you need an installment plan, please pay via Affirm or the PayPal "Pay in 4" option at checkout.
